I missed getting out a Christmas greeting, but – as they say – a Happy New Year to all our readers!
There’s been lots of rain lately and the new paths in the wood are clearly showing their value, evidenced by the numbers of visitors I’ve met, and comments about being able to walk in places that would have been impassable in the past. Well done WDC.
Fortunately it’s not rained all the time, and winter sunshine can be lovely. This is a photo I took before Christmas and it’s now my latest screen background:
The trail camera is now on the move after the previous attention it got. It’s seeing lots of muntjac, some foxes and the occasional roe deer (which appear to be getting less common). But it’s not always wildlife it captures, and there was one unexpected but very appropriate visitor spotted…
Enjoy the wood!
