2022 AGM Report

The 2022 Annual General Meeting of the Friends of Oakley Wood was held on Tuesday 26th April in Barford Memorial Hall. Like events all over the country, our 2021 AGM was a casualty of COVID.

Apologies for the late appearance of these minutes!

Our chairman Liz Sheehan unfortunately missed the meeting as her husband had an accident while holidaying in Devon and needed a hip operation before returning. In her absence, Judy Cooper took the reigns and presented the chairman’s report. See the draft minutes for a full report of the meeting.

Karl Curtis,  Director of Reserves and Community Engagement at the Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, gave a talk outlining the work the trust has done over the last 50 years and its plans going forward to bring farmers and landowners together for the good of nature. The intention is for everyone to be invested in the conservation of our land, as without people being involved conservation cannot be sustained. A summary of Karl’s talk is in the minutes.

The draft minutes of the AGM of 11 March 2020 were approved.
