2016 AGM and talk

The Friends of Oakley Wood held their eighth Annual General Meeting on 1 March 2016, and the minutes are below.

After the short business meeting David Lowe, Principal Ecologist from Warwickshire County Council, talked to us about the importance of Oakley Wood in the national network of woodland. David has been doing some fascinating work mapping potential migration routes for species moving as a result of climate change, and it seems Oakley Wood has a particularly important position in some routes. Some of the data David has been working with can be seen at maps.warwickshire.gov.uk/greeninfrastructure.
